About Cypress Bend RV

Hi, I am Bill, and along with my wife Deborah, who most people just call Debbie, this is our little corner of the internet about life on the road in an RV.

We are not big shots, and we are not professional travel writers. I spent close to thirty years as a sheet metal worker, and Debbie put in her own twenty years at a printing facility. When retirement came into view, we did something that surprised even us. We sold the house and moved into a thirty-five foot Winnebago Adventurer.

This blog started as a way to keep track of what we were learning, and somewhere along the line we figured other folks thinking about the same leap might get something out of it.

So that is what you will find here. The honest version of full-time RV living. The good parts, like waking up somewhere new with a cup of coffee and no schedule, and the not-so-good parts, like the night we got stuck in the mud dodging rabbits in a Nevada rainstorm.

We write about the things we wish someone had told us. What it really costs, the gear that earns its keep, where you can park, and how to stay safe and comfortable when you are a long way from home.

If our mistakes save you a few of your own, then this whole thing was worth the trouble.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy travels.
